1 Timothy 1:12-15
And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;

Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.

And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.

This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

The apostle Paul claimed to be the chief of sinners so I can only be his runner up at best. I am still amazed that a Holy God who knows me would call me out of darkness into his marvelous light, saving me from my sins, and then enlist me into his army and send me out to do battle for the souls of men. Oh man, I’m not worthy, but that’s my God!!!

We started March with a quick visit from all of our kids and grandkids. What a treat. It has been two years since we were all at the same place at the same time. All but the youngest one have been saved and baptized and are faithful in a bible preaching church. I‘m one proud dad/pawpaw.

Our church, Victory Springs Independent Baptist, had some more funds come in so we scheduled more work to be done at the building project. We continue to inch along as the Lord provides and know in his time all things will work out.
Vision Baptist in Crestview, FL got their forms set for the foundation and the plumbing all roughed in. This week the concrete guys will be doing all the prep work for pouring the concrete and the steel erector is on notice to install their metal building, too. They should have a shell soon.

Victory Baptist in Perry, FL got all of the paperwork filled out and turned in to the health department and building department. The health department signed off on using their existing septic system and the building department issued us the permit in record time. The church is having a work day this week to tidy up the site, and the surveyor and foundation man are working toward getting the concrete work laid out and formed up. They should be ready for the plumbers to rough it all in soon.

Our barn house is moving forward a little more. We had the spray foam insulation installed and began hanging the drywall. We only have 60 more days to be all done and have our certificate of occupancy in hand. It’s going to be close on that deadline but we know God is in control and will give us what we need whether it be strength, or time, or extra help’ or all of the above.

Caribbean Update
For 3 years we have made short term trips all over the Bahamas visiting 12 or so islands making contacts and building relationships. A lot of the training we do is either not available or so very expensive traveling to the one location it is not an option for most of the people. This past week a team of 4 traveled to 2 of the islands and gave CPR/first aid and disaster relief training in the churches. Many from the community attended including the local police department and the staff of the medical clinics. Overall close to 100 people received valuable training and most importantly the good news of the Gospel went forth everywhere we went. Really, the training is of little importance, BUT it is a tool in the Lord’s toolbox to use as a witness opportunity. We saw two call on the Lord for salvation and many more were given the Gospel one-on- one, face-to-face on three islands. We did a men’s outreach, Men by Design, on two of the islands and had many in attendance for a testimony time and food and fellowship. The pastors were so excited seeing something specifically for men to get them gathered together and in a non-threatening setting. Men are absent for the most part, and outside the box type outreach is working to draw them in. Thank you each and every one who gave a little extra for our 11 year old Jon to go with his dad this trip. I believe it was life changing for him and could see the light come on as he wasn’t just tagging along but was involved in the work as a team member. He got to see the Gospel in shoe leather time and time again. We are grateful for the part each of you plays in these efforts and again, thank you.

In Christ,
