Ephesians 2:8-9
On August 18th my dad, Steve McCoy, drew his last breath and graduated to heaven. Dad was what we might call an eleventh-hour laborer. He had been given the good news of the gospel many times but would always tell me boy I’ m okay, my good works are gonna outweigh my bad and I was baptized when I was a teenager. Finally, through a series of health events Dad was shaken to his core. He understood he was a lost sinner with no hope and on his way to hell and could do nothing about it on his own. He needed his sins forgiven and that debt paid in full. Dad swallowed his pride and called out to Jesus to save him. He put his total trust in the fact that Jesus died on the cross, was buried in the grave, and rose from the dead the third day according to the scriptures. At 74 years old Dad was born again. I am so glad he has no more sickness or pain or sorrow. I do miss him but know for sure we will see each other again on the other side over in the glory land!!!
The church construction projects we are involved in are all continuing to move forward. Victory Baptist Perry, FL is waiting for their steel building package to be delivered and installed. After that we will take small teams to do the windows and doors and interior framing. Vision Baptist Crestview, FL is making good progress and should be hanging drywall this coming week if all goes well. They are hoping to be all done and in the building by the end of this year. Victory Springs Ind Baptist in High Springs, FL has been approved for the construction loan and should get back going this week with plumbing rough in and some other misc. interior work. We will only have 1 year to be all done so coordinating and scheduling subs and volunteers will be critical. We made some more progress on our warehouse too. The trusses were set and roof framing all done and one side of the metal roof installed. We need to raise more funds to pour the concrete floor and do the exterior wall framing and metal siding.
In way of training we were able to teach one CPR/first aid/AED class at our church to re-certify several of the members that had expired. We traveled to Okeechobee, FL to teach an AVERT class to Victory Baptist Church. This is an active violence emergency response training course through the Health and Safety Institute. Through our training center we are an authorized and certified instructor. We taught another AVERT class at Victory Springs Ind Baptist in High Springs, FL.
Sonya and I were down flat for a few days with a Covid like sickness again. As we understand it is making its rounds again and was our turn. We are mostly recovered and gaining strength a little more each day. So far the kids have no symptoms and we pray they don’t. We appreciate all the love and support and partnerships and prayers. We can go and do because you pray and give. For all of that we are grateful.
In Christ,

Ephesians 2:8-9
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast.
